This function allows you to set your printer's memory switches.
Depending on F/W version, supported functions are different. Please ask sales company for details.
The printer settings function will use the connection settings selected earlier in the Printer Utility.
The printer settings function will automatically load settings from printer when the function is first opened.
If connecting to the printer fails then an error message will be displayed;
if this happens please check your connection and press the Reload button to try again.
You cannot store the settings to the printer until the printer settings function successfully reads the settings from the printer
(ie, the store button will be disabled).
After loading is finished, you can choose any option from a drop-down list to change a setting.
Please read the following notes before changing any settings.
Click the 'Store' button to save the chosen options to the printer.
When the settings are successfully saved to the printer, the printer will automatically reset.
If you want to discard your changes before saving to the printer then, click the 'Reload' button to reload the settings from the printer.
If the settings failed to load the 'Store' button will be disabled.
If this happens please check your connection a try again by pressing the 'Reload' button.
You may preform a test print by clicking the 'Print Settings' button.
The printer's current settings will be printed on this test print.
If you want to restore your printer's settings to their defaults, click the 'Reset Defaults' button.
Depending on the printer model that you are using, some settings may not have factory defaults.
You must configure the settings using the 'Default Setting Wizard' that show when restoring to factory defaults.
This functionality allows you to save your current printer settings to a file, which you can then keep for future use with this same printer, apply to another printer, or distribute to other people.
Click 'Export' to show the 'Save As' window. Specify the file name, and save the file as an XML File (.xml) or a Printer Data File (.prn).
A XML settings file can be imported by clicking the 'Import' button, then browsing to the XML file.
After importing is complete, the settings can be stored to the printer by clicking the 'Store' button.
Printer data files (.prn) cannot be imported. These files must be sent directly to the printer without the use of the Printer Settings function.
