This printer utility offers you the ability to connect to your printer and access the utilities & functions that help you configure it.
The available printer utility functions depend on the connected printer as specified in the Printer Connection.
When you first start the printer utility, the printer connection wizard will be displayed on your screen. Future use of all the functions will be through these printer connection settings. Please configure the printer connection according to the environment of your printer.
You can change the display language of the Printer Utility from the Select Language screen that appears when you select ‘Select Language’ in the Tool menu.
Select the desired language from the list of supported languages and then click ‘Select’.
The display language will change the next time the Printer Utility is started.
Also, if you select ‘Printer Utility Help’ from the ‘Help’ menu, a list of links to the help for each utility function appears.

When a function is selected, the name of the selected function is displayed after ‘Utility Functions >’ below the menu bar. If you click the link of ‘Utility Functions >’, the utility function list view is redisplayed.
The Utility Functions list is shown in the central pane of the Printer Utility Window. The Utility Functions in the list that are available depend on the configuration for the connection. The function's operating window will be displayed when you click on an available function.
You can use 'Current Connection' and 'Connection Manager' on the left side of the window to view the connection settings and to create a new connection or modify and delete connections.
In the Printer Utility Window, if some sentences cannot be fully displayed on screen, you can place the cursor over the sentences in question to read them in their entirety.
Please follow the Printer Connection Wizard to create your printer connection according to the printer environment.
To start the Printer Connection Wizard, click 'Create New' from the 'Connection Manager' list on the left side of the window.
If the IP address has been configured on your printer, input the IP address into the Ethernet Connection Settings.
If the IP address has been configured on your printer and it is connected to the network, you can click the 'Search Network' button to show the discovered printer IP address list. This will only show printers on the same subnet as the discovering PC.
You may choose the appropriate printer IP address from those shown on the list.
If the IP address is not assigned for the printer to be configured, click the ‘Temporary IP Address Assignment’ button to open the Temporary IP Address Assignment dialog box and assign the IP address for the printer as described in the displayed instructions. Then, use one of the procedures above to assign the IP address.
To set Ethernet settings, need to change "Allow a program through Windows Firewall".

You should configure the Serial Connection such as Port Number, Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits & Flow Control according to your printer setting. You can print out your printer settings by clicking the 'Test Print' button.
Select the parallel port to which your printer is connected.
When you have set 'Connection Setting' to anything other than 'USB Printer Class' and want to use the printer driver, install it from Windows Printer Queue Management.
The current active printer connection is summarised in the Current Connection box. Your chosen printer model, emulation, interface type & port are displayed here.
Click ‘Check’ to check the communication with the printer using the Current Connection information. If the communication check is successful, the test pattern is printed and the firmware information is displayed. If it fails, an error message is displayed.
If the information cannot be distinguished in the printed test pattern, reconfigure the serial communication settings.
When you click the 'change' link, the Printer Connection Wizard Window will be displayed. It allows you to change your settings. To change your Printer Connection Setting, please refer to Creating the Printer Connection.
This feature allows you to choose, rename and delete your connection. You can also create a new connection.
The Current Connection shown under the Connection Manager is the current status that is selected from the drop-down listbox.
Choose the connection that you want to rename from the drop-down listbox, click the 'Rename' link and a dialogue window is displayed. Enter the new connection name and click the 'Ok' button.
Choose the connection that you want to delete from the drop-down listbox, click the 'Delete' link and a dialogue window is displayed. Confirm your intention to delete the connection and then Click the 'Ok' button.
Click 'Create New' to go into the Printer Connection Wizard window.
